The Guardian role

Being a Guardian does not mean coming in to “save” other people. It means caring, listening, and sharing responsibility with those who experience the challenge. A community is not a passive beneficiary: it has knowledge, rights, choices, and capabilities.

How to apply it

  • Approach with curiosity and humility, not a prefabricated answer.
  • Ask who decides, who carries risk, and who receives the benefits.
  • Make your limits, commitments, and possible conflicts of interest visible.

Interdependence map

Place the challenge at the center and connect people, ecosystems, rules, resources and histories. Use arrows to mark where a decision creates benefits, costs or unintended consequences.

Pro level: explain the system without blaming one person and find an existing capacity.

FINAL ASSESSMENT

Apply Guardian judgment to 12 real-world decisions. You need at least 10 correct answers to pass. Your first and last name will be linked to the result and certificate.
