We are building a public-benefit institution that will connect responsible technology, knowledge, education, and partnerships to address social and environmental challenges in Bolivia.
PURPOSE
To advance public-benefit solutions that combine responsible technology, knowledge, education, and collaboration to strengthen human capability, community resilience, and environmental stewardship in Bolivia.
A Bolivia where innovation is accessible, ethical, and built with communities.
PROPOSED PILLARS
These pillars express the Foundation’s proposed direction. They do not yet represent registered programs or Foundation projects in operation.
Research, test, and adapt technology around real needs, with ethics, relevance, and local ownership.
Expand capability, opportunity, and participation, especially for groups with less access to innovation.
Support locally grounded responses to environmental risk and community priorities.
Create evidence, transparent collaboration, and accountable learning to improve every initiative.
PROPOSED PORTFOLIO
These initiatives are in design and support-seeking stages. Ojo de Águila, Vector Zero, and Ser Mujer are grounded in the GAIA HumanTech Cochabamba proposal; Ojo de Halcón retains its separate environmental focus. They are not yet registered or funded Foundation programs.
Wildfire prevention and territorial resilience
An evolution of Firehawk’s lessons, designed to put accessible geospatial information in the hands of communities and authorities. It proposes combining mapping, territorial monitoring, and local training to identify risk, coordinate prevention, and improve wildfire response.
Seeking: territorial partners, forestry specialists, geospatial technology, training, and pilot support.

Public safety and emergency response
A 12-month pilot to strengthen Cochabamba Police capabilities through drones, geospatial analysis, operational mapping, and territorial visualization. Technology would support search and rescue, emergencies, documentation, and coordination under clear authorization, training, and controls.
Seeking: Bolivian Police, emergency-management teams, universities, geospatial specialists, technology, and data-governance expertise.

Biotechnology and vector-borne disease prevention
A 12-month scientific pilot to evaluate the Sterile Insect Technique with male Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, planned aerial release, and territorial monitoring in a prioritized area of Cochabamba. It would advance gradually under qualified health and scientific leadership.
Seeking: health authorities, entomology and biosafety expertise, laboratory support, GIS monitoring, aviation operations, and community engagement.

Leadership, human development, and technology inclusion
A pilot cohort for 40 women in Cochabamba combining introductory drone piloting, visual storytelling, leadership, emotional intelligence, and community. Technology becomes a doorway to new capabilities, confidence, agency, and opportunity.
Seeking: women’s organizations, facilitators, mentors, technology training, reusable equipment, and opportunity partners.

G.A.I.A. Center and Fundación Guardianes Aliados para la Innovación y la Acción are not two names for the same organization.
An innovation, education, and action center with its own public history and projects. Its achievements, contracts, team, and identity remain attributed to the Center.
It is being formed to have its own governance and legal and financial responsibilities once registered.
COLLABORATION PATH
Preliminary conversations can begin now. Implementation will happen only when the appropriate legal capacity, agreements, and approvals are in place.
